Is all Landon liked to say this morning! He said it once last night and I of course told Jody that is was hearing things. BUT when the little stink woke up this morning that's all he said from the time his eyes opened until I dropped him off at school :)
My little guy is getting so big so quickly!

Challenges
Life is full of twists, turns and many surprises. I am learning each day to take one day at a time and to remember that God will not give me more than I can handle. I swear he and my grandparents are testing me each and everyday. Being foster parents have been the most rewarding and the most challenging thing we have ever done.
These babies are my world and yet I have no say in anything. I can only know bits and pieces of information and my hands are tied. This is hard for me to say the least. Working in the ChildWelfare system for 7 years has been a blessing and a curse in this situation. I know too much but there is nothing I can do with this knowledge; when no one is willing to help my kids and it infuriates me! As vague as I am being now is how I feel each and every day
--------
This past weekend we went to Landon's maternal grandmothers family reunion. It was a great day but a very emotional night. I spent my first night in a pop up camper...Jody's dreams of me going camping were crushed in one night! After the whirlwind of a day and the babies went to bed the hysterics started. It was the first time in almost 8 months that I did not feel like his mom but just the one caring for him. I can't even say it was the people around me because it wasn't, they were more than welcoming. It was a reality check that I needed, I guess?
I love my weekends because all of my loves are under the same roof!

July
The summer is flying by and usually I'm really happy about that, this year however it's very bittersweet. My little man is growing so quickly. I can't believe we are approaching 8 months!
He's mastered sitting and is onto standing and scooting on his belly. Aunt Kym even showed him how to wave. He's learned to empty his toy box and is moving objects from one hand to another. He seems to favor his left hand still...let's see if he will be a lefty. His bouncy seat is still his favorite toy. He's also mastered finding his bobo and putting it in his mouth. Unless its the middle of the night then he needs mom and dads assistance :)
Landon is still not a fan of sleep day or night. We continue to try new fruits and veggies. The favorite so far has been zucchini and mango. Gmom also sent organic milk and soy free teething cookies that he is a huge fan of.
Milly and Landon are both loving their swim time. Milly has become very protective of her little brother. She lets everyone know that he is her baby not theirs. They melt my heart.
A year ago I could have never imagined how happy and content I would feel today.
Legally for Landon things are progressing in our favor and we couldn't be happier.

Rolley Poley
The weekend didn't go as planned but wound up being a weekend of firsts.
Landon was rolling around the living room. The first time we regretted ripping out the carpet was when we heard his head hit the wood floor.
Milly also decided it was time for him to enjoy an ice pop with her and convinced Jody of the same thing. Both Landon and Milly were real mad at me when I took it away.
I missed spending the weekend with Belinda and seeing that belly grow, life is always unpredictable. But with great friends and support and my crazy munchkins things have happened just the way they were supposed to.

7 months
I have been taking Landons picture each month on his "birthday" in his onsie and tie and will put it all together on his first birthday but the series of pictures this month just make me laugh so I have to share. He's no longer the little lump that stays where we put him =)

Happy 4th of July
It was a great day with family and friends. It was a great reminder of the amazing support we have. How much our families have embraced our decisions in life and always support us and our kiddos. Thank you all so much.
Tonight was rough dropping Milly off but it's only 2 days until she's back with us again.
Today was also Landons 7 month birthday! It's still unbelievable to me.
Looking forward to our weekend trip to see Belinda & Justin to see that growing belly full of twins in person!

Six Months
I can't believe how quickly the time is going. I have to say over the last month so many things have happened, it's bittersweet.
Landon is now able to sit on his own, he has his 2 bottom teeth, when he wants to he rolls from belly to back and back to belly and can sleep up to 7 hours at a time. Those last three I emphasize when he wants to! His personality is coming out more and more everyday. He's so far a great mix of laid back and stubborn :) He still gets real mad when he's made to burp during bottles and is making great facial expressions.
He loves eating his food and we love making it. Making his food has been much easier than expected. So far on his list are: Avacado, spinach, green beans, peas, sweet potatoes, squash, bananas and apples. His favorite are the avacado and sweet potatoes. Least favorite has been spinach. Bananas he's not to sure about either. We are only on day 2 of that. He's still eating around 24ozs of formula a day.
We had to take him to the doctor about 2 weeks ago for some wheezing and he was up to 20lbs! This is what started the carseat search as the infant carrier only goes up to 22lbs.
Over the last week his Acid Reflux has really started acting up again Daddy, Mommy and the hallways have had great showers, when putting food in the mix it's ever worse! So off to the dt again.. Increase Previcid to 2ml 2xs per day.
Milly has also spent a lot of time with us this month she loves her little brother and is very very protective of him. She got her first bike this month (Thank you Titi Christiane and Mr Jama) she loves her princess bike! Shes also loved all the time in her pool and playing with her water table.
Overall the sixth month has been amazing!
Goal for month 7: Document as things happen!

Decisions....
I have laughed at friends for all the research that is put into a baby registry, thinking its just like the hay day Jody and I had doing our wedding registry..like, point, and scan! Boy was I wrong! Since Landon is now 19lbs and much more active (update to come soon) it was time to start looking at reversible car seats and it was time to find a high chair. I wanted something practical that would last for as long as he needs it but it also had to be cute and a bonus would be reasonably priced. So who's a better person than anyone to put on this job...MOM! We spent several hours online reading reviews, comparing models, looking at functionality, etc. we also went to several online stores with model numbers to find the right price and that we did! By spending the time and doing the research we saved over $300.00! My days of see, like, purchase seem to be behind me...
